The prize will reward three child care facilities or child care centres having performed an artistic or cultural project for people with autism or other developmental child disorders over the last 12 months.

DOTCOM: the Disability Online Tool of the Commission
The Academic Network of Disability Experts (ANED) has just launched an online resource with a large database of information, collected by ANED in consultation with the European Commission and the EU High Level Group on Disability, about national laws, policies, strategies and initiatives in the Member States of the European Union, its candidate countries and other associated countries.

Tourism for all: a challenge to win! - Public hearing on Accessible Tourism at the European Parliament
A public hearing on Tourism for all took place on 9th February at the European Parliament. Welcomed by MEP Carlo Fidanza and chaired by MEP Ádám Kósa and Rosa Estaràs Ferragut, the meeting brought together members of the European Parliament and the European Commission, as well as several tourism enterprises representatives, who discussed accessibility of tourist destinations, accommodation and information within the EU's new tourism strategy.

LHAC project included in the Roadmap for the European Year of Active Ageing
The League of Historical and Accessible Cities (LHAC) has been included in the Roadmap towards and beyond the European Year 2012 for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations. The roadmap represents the contribution made by a coalition of stakeholders committed to work together for an Age-Friendly European Union by 2020, through the promotion of active ageing and solidarity between generations.

European Commission's public consultation on measures to break down barriers to people with disabilities
The European Commission launched today a public consultation on its future plans for breaking down barriers to Europeans with disabilities. The consultation will help the Commission to prepare its proposals for a European Accessibility Act, planned for autumn 2012.
