Zero Project Conference on the Right to Work: Good Policies and Practices for Persons with Disabilities (18-19 February 2013)

0 commentsOn 18-19th February 2013 more than 200 high-level decision makers, disability rights experts, persons with disabilities and social entrepreneurs from all around the world will come together in Vienna for the second Zero Project Conference where they will discuss outstanding examples of both political responsibility and practical responses that overcome what remains a major challenge all around the world: the exercise of the right to work by persons with disabilities.
Good policies and practices which will be presented concern the most pressing issues society’s stakeholders will need to address in the area of the right of persons with disabilities to work, i.e self-employment, social cooperatives, return to work, mental disability prevention, and much more!
Amongst the invited keynote speakers and discussion leaders are:
- Barbara Murray, Senior Disability Expert at the International Labour Organisation
- Mr Ioannis Vardakastanis, Chair of the International Disability Alliance
- Dr Ádam Kósa MEP, President of the Disability Intergroup, European Parliament
- Javed Abidi, Chairperson of Disabled Peoples International
