Roundtable on Legal Capacity and Supported Decision-Making
Legal capacity is a necessary precondition for self-determination and full enjoyment of human rights. On November 23, Inclusion Europe will hold the first Annual Round Table meeting of the main stakeholders on legal capacity and supported decision-making to monitor progress in reforming guardianship laws and to discuss new initiatives in the field.

World Tourism Organization and Partners to Promote Accessible Tourism for All
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the ONCE Foundation for Cooperation and Social Inclusion of People with Disabilities and the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT) have signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at developing ever more accessible tourism for persons with disabilities (Madrid, Spain, 16th September).

Hearing on the mobility and inclusion of people with disabilities
On 7th September a Hearing on the Inclusion and Mobility of People with Disabilities took place in the European Parliament.
At the event, which was the first completely barrier-free public hearing in the history of the European Parliament, representatives of the European Commission announced that the new European Accessibility Act will be presented in the autumn of 2012.

Open Meeting and Public Consultation of Joint Report "Accessibility in Built Environment"
Following the European Mandate 420 to CEN (European Committee for Standardisation), two teams of experts have prepared a report on European and International accessibility standards in the built environment. The report will be discussed at an Open Meeting at CEN Headquarters in Brussels (Belgium), on 28 September 2011.
